Newborn photo shoot!

So, Keira had her first photo shoot the other weekend and I can't even describe how amazing the pictures turned out. One of our neighbors is a photographer and is simply amazing! I'm not just saying that because she called Keira gorgeous on her blog. She really is a great photographer and has very reasonable prices. If you need a good photographer check out her blog at Knox Family Photography. She's also on Facebook. Below are a few samples of her work.

Backsplash!

If you know Scott at all you know he loves to think of many projects he can put on his to do list. Of course he had several on his list to accomplish while he was on paternity leave. So after getting back from the hospital, within days he was starting his next big project of backsplashing our kitchen. He started the Friday after Keira was born and it was just finished. He likes to take his time...granted he wasn't working on it every day. Overall working days were around 6. It looks pretty good and makes a complete difference in our kitchen.

These pups crack me up!

Our dogs seriously crack me up sometimes. The other day Scott cut a branch off our Mesquite tree as it was just weighing down one side of the tree. Well, he gave a piece to the dogs and boy did they have fun with it. The funniest was when Roxy tried running into the house with it as the door was only cracked open about a foot. The branch was sideways and she was cruising in and...bam! Stuck! Unfortunately I didn't get to see it and Scott told me about it, but I can visualize it and laugh out loud. Then they were running around with their sticks for a bit as well.

Cankle update!

For those of you that were as worried as I was about whether or not my ankles were going to go back down to normal, I am happy to report they have! This is a long overdue post as the swelling completely went down within two weeks of giving birth to Keira, but I've been a little busy. The cool thing is they actually look smaller than they did before, but I think that's only because I had to look at them swollen for three weeks. YAY to having my ankles back! As you can see by Scott's thumbs up, he was happy too since he had to hear me complain about it for a few weeks.

4 weeks!

Still getting bigger! Her 1 month doctor check up (WHAT?!?!?) is this Wednesday. Time is flying by! And I know her outfit is crazy big on her, but her newborn stuff is too tight and the 0 - 3 month outfits are all too big since she's at the low end of the spectrum right now. What to do?
