Cinnamon Chip Scones

Okay, this is seriously one of the best recipes I've tried recently.  Though I did this a few months ago of course since I have been MIA in posting it's a bit late.  Scott's cousin, Megan, has her own blog called Nutmeg and she posts these amazing recipes with awesome pictures so you can actually see how it's supposed to look step by step (which I definitely need).  I commented on her post about how she needed to send some our way since she indicated the cinnamon chips needed could sometimes be elusive, so she was so sweet and actually printed out the recipe for me and sent me some cinnamon chips!  I was so excited that I got everything needed and made them the next day.  They are seriously delicious and I can't wait to make them again soon.  I found the cinnamon chips at one of our local grocery stores!!!  If you check out the Cinnamon Chip Scones recipe make sure you check out some of her other recipes as well.  SOOO good!

It's been awhile...

Wow! It has been quite some time since I last updated you.  It has been so busy with work and juggling things at home and of course all the birthday parties, family outings, holidays, etc, that have been happening the last couple months.  It would take me forever to update you on every single thing and you can check more photos out on Facebook, so I'll just add a few photos and highlights.

11 Months

1 Year

We still have yet to hit 20 pounds and this girl is active and running all over the place, but we'll get there one day.

Easter

This little lady was very excited for Easter this year.  We had an Easter Egg Hunt at our community center a couple weeks before Easter and then we had a fabulous brunch with Scott's family and my mom on Easter Sunday.

Other Misc Fun

We love swimming and running around on the pool deck as well as eating corn on the cob when we can.  Keira loves food though you wouldn't know it by her size.  She would seriously eat 24/7 if we let her.

Until next time...and I promise it won't be as long.

Citrus Lane!

So, I was reading a magazine recently (can't remember which one) and saw something about a subscription called Citrus Lane. Essentially these are care packages for parents. Every month you subscribe you receive a package with cute and practical items for your child. Each month has a different theme and the boxes are usually worth anywhere from $50 to $60 but you're only paying about $25/mo. We have received two boxes so far and I can't even tell you how excited I get to receive my monthly box. This specific monthly service caters to children ages birth thru 3 years. There are also other services for those that are older. There's BabbaBox for ages 3 thru 6 that includes a theme based box with activities, knowledge and experiences you can have with your child throughout the month. Kiwi Crate is another site that provides crafts and activities for children ages 3 thru 7. I'm not sure which one of those we'll do when Keira reaches those ages but I will definitely be doing one of them.

For those that don't have kids or just want to pamper yourselves I got Birchbox for Christmas and am loving it so far too. I had read about it on a friend's blog a few months ago and she just raved about it, but I never looked into it further. Now that I've received 2 boxes now I'm loving it. And it's very affordable at only $10/mo.

Check all these out. Let me know what you think. Seriously LOVING Citrus Lane though. I highly recommend it.

10 months!

We are just growing every day! Keira is just so crazy active that it took a while to even get this photo. At one point she was standing on the chair on top of Spongebob. She loves to ride in her car and thinks she's pretty darn cool. The dogs LOVE to be near her and she's now taken to handing them her toys which they gladly take. Koa loves to get love so he will sometimes go pick up her toy off her alphabet mat and bring it over to one of us just so he can be rewarded with some pets as being such a good boy. Roxy is like a little mama and has to be right next to her at all times. She'll stretch out at times just for Keira to give her some love, which she happily does. She also likes to give them her snacks sometimes and she'll hand them to the dogs, which of course they take so nice and gently as they aren't stupid, but when they actually take it she gets a little upset. LOL! She'll learn.
